Albert Miller Group is a leading supplier of flooring and carpets and design specialists with 3 retail outlets across Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Location: Kelvinbridge, Glasgow
£8.00 per hour
Full-time for 3 months with view to a permanent contract
Due to expansion the group is seeking to employ a full time accounts assistant to be responsible to the accounting function of one of their trading companies.
Within this role your main duties will be:
• Maintenance of purchase ledger and reconciliation to supplier statements
• Debt collection and processing of receipts, credit control
• Reconciliation of daily takings
• Processing and reconciliation of cash transactions
• Processing intercompany transfers and reconciliation of inter company accounts
• General admin and management of all e-mails to accounts department in relation to company.
This will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an expanding family company, with the possibility of training from our external accountants to develop a full-time Management Accountant position over the next 3-5 years.
The ideal graduate will have extensive knowledge of accounts or bookkeeping. Previous admin experience would also be beneficial.
You will be competent in IT, including Microsoft Word and Excel. You will have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work unsupervised. Highly motivated you be driven to move the business forward. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, alongside strong numerical skills. You will be confident dealing with other members of the team, including senior management.
