Assistant Project Manager with EVMT ProgRess Ltd

Part-time for 10 weeks

EVMT ProgRess Limited provides professional programme, project and change management advice to a wide-range of major infrastructure projects with particular emphasis upon construction, IT Business Systems implementation and complex Systems Integration.

EVMT ProgRess Limited is a clever name as it has several key elements that Programme/Project management professionals and companies who use PMs would/should recognise.

EVMT stands for Earned Value Management Team – EV is a key project analysis function and core to what we do. The graph on the advert and my business cards reflects this EV approach. Prog part of ProgRess refers to programme and Ress for the resource management that is another key function.



The Assistant Project Manager will provide assistance and support to HERMES PMO and Programme Manager. Your responsibilities will focus on three main aspects:

1. To help define and develop the EVMT ProgRess Ltd marketing strategy and required website, brochures etc for general targeting but specifically in South-West England. Will include:
•Developing existing website design
•Website go-live
•Development of Company Brochure
•Identification and contact with potential employers, journals, newspapers etc
•Map onto 2015-2020 company Business Plan

2. To liaise with various groups to market the above and identify potential new work.

3. To become part of a HS2 internal project (HERMES) as part of the Project Management Office to undertake agreed PMO data collection, analysis and reporting as required to meet HS2 governance. Tasks to include:
•Collection and formatting of required weekly, monthly reports - will accurate minutes and action management
•Analysis of report data to produce status (RAG) reports
•Analysis of report date to produce Milestone Slip and Earned-Value report
•Help maintain the RAID Log



The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a background in/knowledge in business studies, with a high level of mathematical/financial literacy and some knowledge of digital communication and marketing.  The organised individual will have experience in minute taking (Document Library Management) and preferably a demonstrable track record in a similar administrative role. 

You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work efficiently without supervision. Being a team player and working well with others, in striving to deliver results, are also important traits. You must have strong IT knowledge of available software tools but particularly MS Office - including MS Project, Powerpoint and Excel.

The graduate should have a solid understanding of Project/Change Management principles and methods.
