Brand Development & Communications Intern with Edition Scotland

Edition Scotland specialises in creating signature cashmere accessories for men. Inspired by the heritage, integrity & expertise found within the Scottish textile industry each collection is thoughtfully curated and traditionally crafted. 

Location: Glasgow

£7.85 per hour. Part-time, 20 hours per week for 12 weeks

Ideal start date: Monday 30 March 2015

Working as a Brand Development and Communications Intern your main tasks will include:
• Thinking of creative ways to communicate the brand’s values and USP’s both visually and verbally
• Writing engaging content for the website, blog, newsletter and social media.
• Assisting with the design of promotional material including a ‘brand pack’ that communicates the brand ethos to buyers and retailers
• Identifying new ways to help develop brand awareness and increase press coverage
• Assisting with general studio tasks


The ideal graduate will have a background in in graphic design, visual communications or marketing with an interest in design/menswear/luxury goods. You will be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign) and have good photography skills.

You will be motivated, organised and hard working with strong communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal). A creative thinker, you will have a critical eye and high attention to detail. A basic understanding of all social media channels and how to utilise them for business is highly beneficial. Access to your own computer is essential.

(This role is on a self-employed basis. Please note that you will be invoicing Adopt an Intern as a freelance/consultant. This is a very simple, uncomplicated process. You will also be advised to register as self-employed with HMRC if you are not already registered. Please note, students in Scotland on a Tier 4 Visa are not permitted to be self-employed and therefore will not be considered for this role.)
