Business Analyst Intern with Diageo

£19,000 Full-time, 38 hours per week for 9 months
Interviews: Week Commencing 26 January, start date 2 February 2015.

We have a number of outstanding graduate intern opportunities within the Global Diageo Business Services (GDBS) organisation in Scotland, and real challenges await all interns from day one!

GDBS are a multi-functional, global shared services function, impacting virtually every part of Diageo around the world, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. GDBS focus on further improving business efficiency, liberating and empowering our markets to concentrate on commercial growth. This could range from a focus on delivering high quality IS services, technology or end-user support operations through to systems architecture, portfolio management or transaction and analytical services.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with business analysis, analytics or database provision experience to be involved right from the inception stage of a new team. This new team will have the objective of delivering world class analytics solutions using the most up-to-date technologies (SQL and microstrategy), to deliver mobile visualisations to senior stakeholders in the supply centre.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a background in business management, analytics project management or a related discipline. You will also have experience of database design. You will have the ability to extract , articulate and compose stakeholder requirements into a detailed set of functional design documents. A key requirement for achieving this will be your ability to build great relationships and hit the ground running with stakeholders at all levels and across multiple functions/geographies. You will be dynamic, organised and proactive with a strong attention to detail. Analytical skills, communication and problem solving skills are essential. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative with little task management, however you will be part of a very supportive and fast paced team.
