Business Support with The Lens


Location: Glasgow, Scotland
£8.75 per hour
Full-time for 12 months.

The Role

The Lens is currently looking for an ambitious and driven individual who is up for a challenge and is willing to learn and work hard. The role is very varied and will require the successful candidate to be able to develop relationships quickly with individuals and groups at various levels - from CEOs to frontline staff. They will also need to be confident and willing to pitch in from everything from taking out the bins to writing reports to solving problems at workshops and everything in between. 

Working closely with the CEO, Lens Developers, Associates and the Operations Team to support delivery and development of The Lens Programme, the successful candidate would be responsible for the following tasks:

managing workshops logistics.
coordinating administration.
developing relationships with Intrapreneurs, Judges and other key contacts.
supporting the event management of Finals.
working with Operations to enhance our digital work, through social media, our website and newsletter, etc.

The Lens is committed to professional development and has a coaching and performance framework that all staff are expected to participate in. 


The successful candidate will require a qualification at SCQF level 7 or above or equivalent. They should be very comfortable with digital communications and be willing to learn and develop their ability in using analytics to improve practice.

You should be able to demonstrate the following attributes
You are a confident and effective communicator.
You are a self-starter with the ability to work in an autonomous manner as and when required.
You have excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
You are comfortable in a collaborative working environment.

Previous experience in events management is preferred, but not essential.
