As one of the local authorities at the heart of Scotland, Stirling Council is looking to recruit a graduate intern to work as a researcher within the Chief Executive Office.
£7.85 per hour. Between 22.5 hours (3 days) - 28 hours (4 days) per week for an initial 3 months.
January 2015 start.
Working within the Chief Executive Office of Stirling Council, the successful intern be responsible for:
• Researching and writing reports on various topics related to Local and National Government
• Researching and writing reports on various topics related to Economic Development
• Academic research
• Any other tasks that are required to be completed
The successful intern will be educated to degree level with a background in / experience of research. Those with a background in journalism, economics, politics or similar field will be highly regarded.
You will have a self-starting attitude and use your initiative. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and be skilled in analysing information and writing reports for various audiences. You will be professional, discrete and politically aware of both local and national government. You will be highly organised and be able to work to deadlines. A driving license is desirable, though not essential.
