Communications Intern with Stirling Council


Location:  Stirling 

Part-time, 22.5-28 hours per week, for 3 months initially* 
January 2017 start

About the Organisation 
Stirling Council's area lies at the very heart of Scotland. It covers 220,000 hectares from Tyndrum and Crianlarich in the southern highlands to the villages of Killearn and Strathblane in the south west and the former mining villages of Plean, Fallin and Cowie in the east. The 83,000 population splits 50:50 urban to rural, with the urban population centering around Stirling, Dunblane and Bridge of Allan. 
The Role 
The Council wish to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated graduate to join their Communications team. As a successful applicant, your main tasks will include: 
• Helping with the expansion and delivery of the Council’s Communications output 
• Developing new communications methods and messaging 
• Researching and information analysis 
• Managing the Social Media presence 
*There is the possibility of extension to 12 months for the right candidate.  

The ideal candidate will be a creative and enthusiastic graduate, skilled in Communications with strong writing, social media and analytical skills. 
You should be self-starting and organised, able to take initiative and to work to strict deadlines. Being professional, discrete and politically aware is also important. 
A driving license is desirable.
