Data and Research Analyst with Why Research

Why Research Limited is a full service, independent market and social research agency based in Edinburgh, working with clients throughout the UK and in a variety of sectors. 

Location: Central Edinburgh with the ability to work at home occasionally should the need arise

£7.85 per hour. Full-time (35 hours per week) for 6 months
Start before 31 March 2015

They aim to provide cost effective research solutions to the questions which keep clients awake at night, or the dreams that business decision makers want to see enacted.

Why Research are now looking for a graduate intern to join their team as a Data and Research Analyst. Within this role you will be involved with:
• Creation of online surveys

• Analysis of primarily quantitative data (including some statistical analysis as required)

• Interpretation and presentation of results

• Data management


The ideal graduate will be a positive thinker with solid analytical skills and can-do attitude. You will have a curiosity and thirst for knowledge in a wide-range of sectors. You will have good common sense and problem solving skills.

We are looking for a candidate with good time management, organisational and interpersonal skills. You should also have a high level of both literacy and numeracy. You must have experience of statistical analysis and survey software.

You will possess a strong attention to detail and understand the importance of client and respondent confidentiality. You will be advanced in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint with a willingness to learn new software.

You must be able to start work by 31 March 2015.
