Digital and Events Intern with Creative Dundee

Creative Dundee connects creative talent with opportunities and amplifies the city’s creative pulse. Through encouraging collaboration and networking, Creative Dundee helps develop the local creative and cultural sectors. It showcases local activity through its online platform to increase awareness; and it works in partnership with other organisations to impact positively on communities, the city and the local economy.

Location: Dundee
£7.65 per hour. Part-time, 20 hours a week for 3 months.

Early October start.

(Please note that you will be invoicing Creative Dundee as a freelance/consultant. This is a very simple, uncomplicated process. You will also be advised to register as self-employed with HMRC if you are not already registered.)

Creative Dundee is a not-for-profit organisation, supported in part by Creative Scotland. Working alongside the Director, the successful Intern will:

  • assist with developing engaging web content for our active online platform and news mail out - to champion the creative industries and cultural sector in and around the Dundee area.
  • support our community through social media activities across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Vimeo etc. and monitor their effectiveness through analytic tools.
  • assist with co-ordinating our events programme - which includes Pecha Kucha Night Dundee and other partnership events - this could involve liaising with speakers, venues and attendees. 
  • support the Director on developing new projects and events. 


The ideal graduate will have a background in digital and social media, marketing or events. You will be highly digitally literate with working knowledge of Wordpress alongside experience and interest in producing high quality content. You will know how to grow online communities through social media and analytical tools such as Google Analytics.

An enthusiastic and passionate individual, you will have a strong interest in the creative and cultural sectors. You should have a strong attention to detail, be a good communicator and be a fast and keen learner. Excellent organisational skills, with demonstrable experience of organising and prioritising duties in order to complete a specific task is required for this post.
