About the Organisation
Stirling Council's area lies at the very heart of Scotland. It covers 220,000 hectares from Tyndrum and Crianlarich in the southern highlands to the villages of Killearn and Strathblane in the south west and the former mining villages of Plean, Fallin and Cowie in the east. The 83,000 population splits 50:50 urban to rural, with the urban population centering around Stirling, Dunblane and Bridge of Allan.
Stirling Council is looking for a graduate to work as an Events Assistant. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Helping with the expansion and delivery of the Council’s events portfolio
• Helping organise events
• Identifying new events
• Working on the new events strategy
• Research and information analysis
*There is the possibility of extension to 12 months for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be a keen graduate, able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of Events Management.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and to be an analytical problem-solver. You should also be self-starting and organised, able to take initiative and to work to strict deadlines. Being professional, discrete and politically aware is also important.
A driving licence is also desirable.
