Front End Developer at Frog Systems

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid/Remote)

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)

Full-time, Permanent

The Role

As a result of further investment, significant new contract wins and planned growth, Frog Systems is now looking to hire a Software Developer to join the team in Scotland. The successful candidate will join a young, growing team, dedicated to spreading awareness of mental wellness.

Working closely with the CEO, the right candidates will be in a position to make a significant contribution to Frog Systems platforms and assist in the shaping of the technical direction of the company. You will support the trading activities of Frog Systems, through competent and enthusiastic technical and development support to the organisation, demonstrating a passion for Frog and its long-term objectives.

Frog Systems is a .NET house, working with a range of technologies within the various roles including:

  • Front-End Developers
  • Front-End: JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, Vue.js, SCSS, NodeJS

You will be expected to integrate with the current team and undertake a range of tasks from existing and new projects within one of these existing structures.

Location: This is primarily a home-based, remote role, although you will be required to work from the Frog Systems’ HQ in Glasgow two days out of five.

The role holds tremendous potential for professional development as the right candidate would find themselves as a key team member in this rapidly growing business. This is a permanent role within a small but growing team so good interpersonal skills are important as is a genuine enthusiasm for bringing to life our work in the mental health and wellbeing space.

Requirements

This role would suit a digitally-savvy individual capable of contributing and working independently but also collaboratively within a busy and supportive team. You should also have the desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoy the challenge of building complex solutions.

Essential experience and knowledge:

  • Previous experience creating a SPA in VueJs or other similar JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular)
  • Previous experience using CSS frameworks like bootstrap, bulma, vuetify
  • Experience integrating APIs into front-end solutions (REST API etc)
  • Understanding of Version Control systems, in particular, Git
  • Capability to design from mobile first principle

Desirable experience and knowledge:

  • Experience in WordPress
  • Experience in Server-Side-Rendered applications (NuxtJS etc)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
