DTA Scotland is looking for a Marketing and Administration Intern to complete a broad range of tasks for the team, from being responsible for completing day to day administration for the Community Ownership Support Service (COSS) team, to planning and coordinating workshops and events.
COSS is a flexible programme providing support services to communities across Scotland and a broad range of public and third sector stakeholders.
Reporting to the COSS Programme Manager your tasks will include the following:
Administration and Reporting
Support the COSS Programme Manager in the day to day administration of the COSS team by-
• Providing a professional and friendly first point of contact for all users of the service
• Provide regular monitoring and evaluative information on COSS work
• Ensure that the accuracy of the CRM system is maintained
• Participate in staff team meetings, including work review / planning sessions
• Providing a range of general and administrative functions to support the COSS adviser team
• Assist in the development of research projects using internal and external data sources.
• Assist in the upkeep of the COSS website – developing and coordinating case study materials and ensuring information is kept current.
• Manage social media output from COSS adviser team.
Workshop and Seminar Programme
• Contribute to the administration and organisation of the COSS and DTAS programme of training events and conferences.
There is the potential for this role to be extended by a further 6 months subject to funding.
This post will suit a motivated, confident and well-organised individual who is interested in the third / community sector and would enjoy working in a small interdisciplinary team. Applications are welcome from graduates from all degree disciplines.
The COSS team comes from a wide range of backgrounds including community development, training and development, business development and regeneration. We also facilitate the Scottish Universities Land Unit and have in-house legal support. This is a small team in which the intern will play a key role.
