Around 250 people attended the Awards dinner in Glasgow, run by Women’s Enterprise Scotland in partnership with Scottish Business Insider. Presenting the Business of the Year Award Carolyn Currie, chief executive of Women’s Enterprise Scotland, said: “There is no shortage of talent in the room tonight as has been shown by the quality of our finalists.”
The AAI team were shortlisted beside former AAI employers and business partners, Radiant and Brighter and Social Bite for the prestigious Best Social Enterprise award, and were delighted to be on the table with recent AAI employers and ethical breastfeeding bra superstars Molke.
AAI CEO Joy Lewis was visibly shocked by the win and pledged that AAI would continue to work to take a social enterprise approach to recruitment, supporting entrepreneurship and supporting inclusive economic growth in Scotland and beyond.
HUGE congratulations to all the other winners and finalists. It is a testament to the entrepreneurial support in Scotland that we have so many incredible female-led businesses.
