£18-20k pro rate. Full-time for an initial 3 months with possible extension
Working as a Research Assistant for Carlyle your main tasks will include:
• Researching key sectors, target companies and individuals
• Database cleansing
• Gaining commercial insight and exposure to a wide variety of Scottish & UK businesses
• Providing general assistance and support to the team ensuring all projects are delivered on time and in line with company objectives
As commercial awareness is key to the success of this role, it would suit a graduate with a background in a professional service field, such as law, policy, research, HR, accountancy or similar field. You must be highly professional in appearance and character, with the ability to use sound commercial judgement. You will have strong communication skills; your written English must be excellent, demonstrated by an outstanding cover letter and CV. Previous experience of database work would be advantageous.
You will be self-motivated and driven, and be keen to make an impact while learning the structure of a professional services firm. You must display excellent attention to detail and enjoy desktop work. Experience of carrying out varied research tasks, either as part of your degree or paid or unpaid work experience, is required.
