The Organisation

“Aberdeen Foyer supports young people and adults towards independent living, learning and work.  Working with over 1600 people each year we start with people’s strengths, supporting them to build their confidence, develop their talents and make real and lasting change in their lives.

We do this by:

• providing young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness a safe place to stay
• supporting people who are unemployed to overcome barriers, learn new skills and move into work
• engaging people through education and learning opportunities
• supporting positive mental health and wellbeing

We help individuals to deal with and move on from tough situations including homelessness, unemployment, mental illness and poverty.

Our vision is a place where all young people and adults can be who they want to be regardless of the challenges they face, where everyone has the right to work, learn and have a safe place to live.

We believe there is no limit to what people can achieve and that everyone has the right to a positive future.“

The Role

Due to staff absence, we need someone to support the content management and scheduling of our social media platforms.  We need an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with excellent editorial judgement, who loves to convey people's stories and their impact to support our external communications and our response to Covid-19.  Ideally, with experience of the Third Sector, you will work closely with our Leadership Team and the Creative Director of Foyer Graphics to:

•  support managing and cultivating our messaging through our social media channels

•  manage the daily publishing schedule across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn tying back to our website where possible

•  manage and monitor all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Perform responsibilities daily including drafting copy, curating content, coordinating graphics and posting to social media pages, and monitoring foyer mentions and keywords

•  interpret our data analytics and support fine-tuning of messaging

We also require support developing an engaging report that conveys our response to date – enabling the stories, impact and changes to come to life that can be shared with our key stakeholders.
