Allan Gray – Programmes Co-ordinator, Newbold Trust

University – University of the Highlands and Islands

Qualification – Postgraduate in Sustainable Rural Development

Ideal career path – I would like to continue to work in organisations that have sustainable values around food, carbon impact and wellbeing.

Job hunting experience – Job hunting was challenging although I had voluntary experience and qualifications I found it increasingly challenging to get paid experience in the job sector I was interested in.

Internship – Programmes Co-ordinator for Newbold Trust

Roles and responsibilities – The internship provided me with a number of responsibilities, opportunities and challenges. I was responsible for researching workshop leaders around the theme of sustainability and creating a CRM of existing and future contacts. The highlights of working alongside Newbold Trust was the opportunity to experience sustainable living in practise alongside experts from around the world. The mentoring and advise provided about the job sector is invaluable.
