Before gaining this opportunity, what was your experience of job-hunting?
It was tough! I often got to the interview stage of entry-level jobs, but was then told I lacked experience. AAI really helped me to get some solid experience under my belt, allowing confidence and trust in my abilities to grow.
What were your roles and responsibilities in this position?
I learned how to navigate CMS systems, had the opportunity to attend courses to further my knowledge (whilst still getting paid), managed social media and the central inbox, attended and assisted events.
What are doing you now?
I’m a Project Assistant with Scotland’s International Development Alliance.
How did the position impact your life, professionally and personally?
My AAI experience has been great! I felt supported by the AAI team the whole way through and would definitely apply for another position.
What would you say to other graduates who are considering an opportunity through AAI?
