Magic Cycles is a family run business based at Bowling Harbour in the former and now renovated railway arches, ideally positioned on the Glasgow to Loch Lomond and canal cycle tracks.
Location: Bowling, West Dunbartonshire,
£7.85 per hour, 20 hours per week for 12 weeks
Ideal start: 1 June 2015
Magic Cycles are main dealers for Ridgeback Genesis and Saracen bicycles and have a dedicated showroom with ample space to display around thirty bikes. They also stock a full range of accessories, provide a bicycle repair service and offer cycle hire between March and October.
Magic Cycles are looking for a keen graduate to join their team as a Trainee Manager. Within this role your main tasks will include:
• Organisation of the presentation of stock and bicycles
• Receiving and liaising with customers seeking to purchase bicycles and accessories
• Administration of bicycle hire business including constructing fleet database
• Maintaining shop record and accounts
• Ordering and receiving stock
• Assembling new bicycles and safety checking
• Bicycles repairs
Please note Magic Cycles have pet dogs in each unit, a Cocker Spaniel "Honey" and a Border Terrier "Judy". They are at work all day, every day and are friendly and active so if you don't like dogs this job might not be for you!
Magic Cycles are looking for a candidate who has an interest in cycling and cycle sport. Any previous experience in the cycle industry and a level 1 cytech qualification would be beneficial.
This role would be suited to graduates of any degree programme. You will have strong interpersonal communication skills, be friendly and outgoing. You should be IT literate, organised and able to work on your own initiative.
