Website Developer with PEEK (Possibilities for Each and Every Kid)

PEEK works with children and young people aged 5-25 living in the East End of Glasgow and North of Glasgow – giving them the motivation, self-confidence and skills they need to change their lives. In a typical week, they provide high quality, diverse & innovative arts, leisure and free play activities for over 450 children and 70 young people.

Location: Glasgow

£7.85 per hour. Part-time, 20 hours per week for 12 weeks.
Ideal start: 2 March 2015

PEEK are looking for a Web Developer / Designer with good visual and responsive digital design skills to work alongside their Office Manager and Communications worker to lead on the creation of a brand new website for the charity.

The successful candidate will be a crucial part of the growing charity and will be leading on the new website from the concept through to completion. They will work closely and communicate directly with the wider PEEK team on their needs as well as that of the children and young people involved in PEEK’s activities to establish their requirements.

The ideal graduate will be a creative individual who has the capacity work on their own. You will be a confident communicator, mature and able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people. 

You should be able to demonstrate a spark of creativity while also able to work within the PEEK brand. Strong accuracy and attention to detail in your work needs to be demonstrated. You will have some experience of various visual packages i.e.- Photoshop or Adobe, as well as knowledge of Flash, UI / UX design, JavaScript, and cross browser compatibility. Any previous experience in Digital design would be beneficial .
