Grainne Morton Jewellery is an award winning jeweller based in Edinburgh. Founded in 1995 Grainne Morton specialises in creating necklaces and earrings that are unique, elegant and timeless yet fashion forward.
£7.85 per hour
Part-time, 20 hours per week for 12 weeks
An exciting and varied role, the successful Intern will be expected to help in the production of hand-made jewellery, working on orders for the likes of Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie company BHLDN, as well as for exhibitions like the Goldsmiths Fair in London.
The intern will also work on developing Grainne Morton’s website, social media channels and brand awareness.
(This role is on a self-employed basis. Please note that you will be invoicing Adopt an Intern as a freelance/consultant. This is a very simple, uncomplicated process. You will also be advised to register as self-employed with HMRC if you are not already registered. Please note, students in Scotland on a Tier 4 Visa are not permitted to be self-employed and therefore will not be considered for this role.)
The ideal candidate will possess strong jewellery making skills, including the ability to solder, file and use a piercing saw. They will also require excellent IT, photo editing and social media skills. You will have an understanding of marketing techniques and how to develop brand awareness. You will be creatively-minded with an eye for excellence across all mediums.
The successful intern will be proactive, motivated and up for a new challenge.
Due to funding restrictions candidates must have studied at a Scottish school or Scottish university to apply for this role.
