Access the required training for Kickstart candidates from inclusive employment specialists AAI EmployAbility.
One of the Government’s requirements for Kickstart employers is that each placement must develop the employability skills and experience of the young people placed.
You can use a portion of the £1500 grant funding to have AAI EmployAbility provide training in addition to the mandatory on-the-job training that you will provide. The training that AAI can offer is wrap-around employment support, including:
Once a placement is filled and the individual starts work, we would engage with them immediately, working with them to lay out a personal development plan for the six-month period, staying in touch as appropriate throughout. The plan would include elements such as instructional videos, personal reflection, exercises, online meetings, and one-to-ones.
The amount of time required would be dependent on the person, as they won’t all need the same support. We anticipate the cost would be between £250-£500 per person dependent on the individual and the numbers involved. The exact services to be provided and applicable costs would be determined after the placement has been approved by the Government.
You can access this training regardless of whether AAI has acted as your Gateway/Intermediary Organisation. Register interest or ask a question about Kickstart training via training@aai-employability.org.uk
