Adopt an Intern celebrated Diversity in our Community with Radiant and Brighter at their annual conference earlier this month.
The event, which brought together individuals from local communities with organisations across the private, public and third sectors, provided a platform for attendees to discuss and learn more about the importance and strengths of cultural diversity.
It was an eye-opening day, hearing about the struggles that can lie ahead of migrants when joining our communities and how Adopt an Intern, and other organisations, might best support them, but inspiring to see what businesses are already doing to increase diversity awareness and diversity within their organisations. Through embracing diversity we can ‘unlock the potential within our communities and enable higher value contributions for a socially and economically richer, stronger and healthier Scotland.’
Through guest speakers and panel discussions, the day was a great success, focusing on the skills, talents, qualifications and abilities of different groups and communities.
