Business for Scotland, the campaigning business network, is expanding. They are looking to add a new member to their team.
The role will involve:
• Members registration and liaison
• Website and social media updating
• Upselling membership options to existing members
• Event marketing and organisation including our annual conference and dinner events
• Newsletter production
• Creating surveys
• Membership admin and general admin
• Local Group support
The successful applicant will play a key role supporting their 2015 campaigns including: Yes to EU, More Powers (FFR), Living Wage, Fairness and Equality, Invest for Growth, Sustainability, Innovation and Internationalisation. Business for Scotland maintain a long held support for Scottish independence.
Full training will be offered, some travel and evening working is required for events.
Upon completion of the Glasgow Commonwealth Graduate programme it is expected that this role will develop into a permanent position.
(This role is a graduate role through the Glasgow Commonwealth Graduate Fund and so the applicant will have to live within the Glasgow City Council area, have been a graduate since May 2012 and have been underemployed or unemployed for the last 13 weeks.)
The successful intern will have a background in marketing, event organisation, social media marketing, customer service or sales.

You will have excellent spoken and written communication skills. You will be confident in engaging with various stakeholders. An understanding of using social media for business, and social media marketing skills would be ideal.
